| Space Limitations |
| If you choose an above ground gate you will need there to be space reserved behind the gate to allow the gate to open, whereas with an underground gate you will need there to be a space at minimum of 6cm from the gate’s post. |

| Appearance |
| To get the best visual results you may wish for the gate motor to be installed within the ground rather than on the rear of the gate or neighbouring wall. |

| Cost |
| If you are looking to keep the price to a minimum you may wish to choose the above ground option as the below ground option requires additional work to fit the motor underground. |
